Martha H. Hagaman, MD Diplomat, American Board of Sleep Medicine
Dr. Martha Hagaman enjoys helping adults and children optimize their sleep quality to optimize both physical and emotional health through the practice of sleep medicine. Dr. Hagaman developed an interest in sleep medicine during her Pulmonary and Sleep Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Following her sleep training, she became a founding partner of Sleep Medicine Associates in Nashville. She furthered her pediatric experience at Yale University to pursue specialized training in Pediatric Sleep Medicine. She then worked at the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Hagaman returned to Tennessee to serve as the Medical Director at the Children's Sleep Institute in Nashville. She currently serves as the lead physician of Sleep Medicine Associates in Middle TN, where she continues to specialize in the management of obstructive sleep disorders, narcolepsy, parasomnias, insomnia, sleep apnea, and other sleep-related disorders in both adults and children.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Martha Hagaman earned a bachelor’s degree in Medical Dietetics from Ohio State University before becoming a Board registered dietitian. After serving as a Clinical Dietitian at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Dr. Hagaman earned her Medical Degree from The Ohio State University, followed by an internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and a residency in Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University. Dr. Hagaman taught on the Clinical Faculty of Internal Medicine at the Department of Veterans Affairs and Med Ohio in Columbus and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Hagaman has specialized in sleep medicine for more than 20 years. She is licensed to practice by The Ohio Medical Board and The Tennessee Medical Board, and Is a Diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Her research interests include narcolepsy and pediatric sleep disorders. Dr. Hagaman enjoys helping adults and children optimize their sleep quality to optimize both physical and emotional health through the practice of sleep medicine. Her husband is a physician with VASAP at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and she enjoys spending time with her three children.
Kay Milledge, CCSH, RPSGT

Ms. Milledge completed the Polysomnographic Technology A.S. program at Albany State University in Albany, GA (formerly Darton State College). Sleep medicine is a growing industry, and sleep technologists must continuously expand their skills and expertise to remain competitive in this rapidly flourishing area of medicine. Consequently, to remain the most current in her role as a sleep technologist, Ms. Milledge earned the prestigious national credential, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). She was lead technologist, sleep lab manager, and preceptor throughout her career. Kay recently earned a B.S. in Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a certification in clinical sleep health (CCSH) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. She served two years as Program Director and Technical Director of a Nationally Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A—STEP), which develops technologists for a career in sleep medicine. Kay specializes in improving patient outcomes with positive air pressure (PAP) therapy and sleep coaching. For Ms. Milledge, teaching, sharing knowledge, and helping people have always been passions; that energy translates to sleep education. Bringing these passions together creates an ideal ally for patients in understanding and managing their sleep health.
